Outside normal surgery hours you can still phone your GP surgery, but you’ll usually be directed to an out-of-hours service.
If you need urgent help from your doctor (GP) or would like some advice but your GP surgery is closed and you live in Leicester:
Call the GP out-of-hours service on 0845 0450411.
Alternatively if you need urgent non-emergency care call 111 for advice.
When your regular GP is closed and:
If you couldn’t get an appointment with your own doctor (GP)
If you have run out of your medicines
If the problem has been going on for more than a week
If you have a long term condition and normally see your own doctor (GP)

EMERGENCY AND OUT OF HOURS
Generally, you should visit A&E or call 999 for life-threatening emergencies, such as:
Loss of consciousness
Acute confused state and fits that are not stopping
Persistent, severe chest pain
Severe bleeding that cannot be stopped
Otherwise call 111 or 0845 0450411 for further advice.
